Concerned scholars create website to clarify \u2018comfort women\u2019 issue

A group of experts created a website to provide what they say is accurate information about the Imperial Japanese Army\u2019s wartime \u201ccomfort women\u201d system and to counter sites that show distorted views of history.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFight for Justice\u201d site (http:\/\/fightforjustice.info\/)<\/a> includes an introductory section and a Q&A section, as well as testimonies from those who witnessed the system of \u201ccomfort women,\u201d a euphemism for those who were forced to provide sex for Japanese soldiers before and during World War II.<\/p>\n

The site also explains why the Imperial Japanese Army set up the system, how girls and women were recruited, and what their lives were like after the war.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
